We spent a lovely few days by the pool, which was definitely the highlight for my kids. The lifeguards engaged everyone with fun pool games, and the atmosphere was so friendly. The hiking trails nearby were also breathtaking with scenic views of the lake, making for excellent family outings.
My kids wished the manager was more pleasant around staff.

We had a beautiful time enjoying the outdoor activities here, like swimming and hiking on the trails. The lodge's communal space was striking, reminiscent of another time, which made our meal gathering special. One of my favorite memories is the peaceful atmosphere near the lake after an exciting day. It's a great spot to recharge and connect with nature, especially for someone like me who appreciates good road trips with my partner.

Had a fantastic time with friends at this place! We explored the scenic lake on the 1.7-mile loop trail and hit the pontoon tour on a hot 85°F day. The group bonfire was a blast too. Don’t miss the gorgeous beach and great activities! However, be prepared that some parts of the lodge could use a little updating.
The only downside was our room's musty smell and cleanliness. It could definitely be improved, as it felt a bit neglected.

Charming Lodge with Room for Improvement
Our family enjoyed a cozy stay, but be ready for delays. Housekeeping needed better coordination, and while the staff was friendly, the dining experience felt chaotic. Don't miss the buckeye pie! Consider visiting in a busier season for a smoother experience.

The room was spacious and comfortable, featuring two queen beds and a bunk bed that my kids loved. It felt a bit outdated though, and the cleanliness could use some improvement. We noticed a musty smell when we first arrived, which wasn’t great. Overall, it had plenty of space for our family, but a refresh would definitely help.
